Meet Steve

I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Independent Prescriber and Dementia Specialist Nurse with over 18 years of experience supporting people affected by dementia across community, hospital and care home settings.

Throughout my career, I have worked across the NHS dementia pathway, supporting people living with dementia and their families in a wide range of settings. I currently hold a senior clinical and leadership role within the NHS and am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

As the founder of My Dementia Nurse, I am passionate about helping people feel informed, supported and empowered throughout their dementia journey.

Why My Dementia Nurse Was Created

Many people affected by a dementia struggle to access timely, personalised advice. Families can often feel overwhelmed after a diagnosis, unsure how to manage changes, where to find support, or what to expect next.

Organisations may also need specialist guidance to improve dementia awareness, develop better services, and provide person-led care.

My Dementia Nurse was created to help bridge this gap by providing specialist advice, education and practical support that people can understand and use.
